Beer Week
If you have been to Traverse City before you may have noticed that the city has plenty of wonderful craft breweries to check out. You can swing by the breweries to try some handcrafted ales and get a taste for good ol’ Michigan beer. These breweries are not just for the adults either as they typically feature food menus with options for kids and even some fun activities such as live music on the weekends. During the fall one of our favorite events will take place, Beer Week. This annual event is a great time to connect with friends and family at your local breweries in the area. From November 8th through the 16th you can explore the breweries here in Traverse City and track your progress on the Beer Week passport. Fill up your passport to be eligible to win some great prizes exclusive to the area. Many of the local breweries also offer self-guided tours of the building so you can take a behind the scenes look at how it is all made. Don’t miss out on the fun of Beer Week!
Traverse City Pride Week – Up North Pride
The official LGBTQ+ Pride celebration for Traverse City will take place this fall with the annual celebration of Up North Pride. This will be the 11th consecutive year for this celebration that focuses on inclusion and diversity in a safe place. Up North Pride features a week-long celebration that features a variety of small events for you to attend. These Fall events in Traverse City bring together plenty of fun including storytelling, a pajama party, silent disco, brunch, and more. The Visibility Rally & March is the big parade that marches through Traverse City to showcase love and inclusions. The events are free to attend and are a great way to show your support. Come check out Up North Pride taking place September 24th through the 29th.
Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge
Get together with thousands of mountain bike riders from all over the country to support an active and healthy lifestyle with the Bell’s Iceman Cometh Challenge. The first Saturday each November is when this annual event takes place where over 5,000 mountain bike riders taken on 30 miles of thrilling terrain. This point to point race is great for amateur mountain bikers and experienced riders too; in fact, some previous contestants have gone to the Olympics and placed at the world level. There is also a junior bracket for younger riders to compete as well. This year’s Iceman Cometh Challenge will take place on Saturday November 2nd. Registration is now open!
Fall Fido Fest
If you happen to be bringing your loveable canine companion with you this fall to Traverse City, you will want to stop by the Fall Fido Fest. This exclusive event is for your furry friends and a whole lot of fun. This will be the 2nd annual event for the Fall Fido Fest and it is looking to be one great time. The event will be held at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons and features a variety of activities. Bring your pup for the costume contest with prizes available. Additional fun includes the Agility Adventures course, face painting, a vendor village, photo booth fun, and much more. Admission into the event is absolutely free and the whole family is welcome. The Fall Fido Fest 2024 will take place on October 12th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Live Entertainment Events
You can always catch live entertainment on stage whenever you are in Traverse City including the fall season. Come check out some incredible stage acts such as live music or stand up comedy at locations including City Opera House or the Traverse City Comedy Club. Tony Danza will be on stage with his Standards & Stories tour on October 11th. Comedian Ben Bailey will be on stage for his hilarious routine on October 18th.
