Enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on the private second-floor deck, then follow the scenic boardwalk to 600 feet of shared sandy beach on East Grand Traverse Bay. Downtown Traverse City, Grand Traverse Resort, Northern Michigan’s wineries, and the area’s most popular seasonal attractions are all within easy reach.

The private second-floor deck overlooks the creek and surrounding woods, creating a peaceful place to begin or end the day. Outdoor seating makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the sound of the water beneath the pines.
East Grand Traverse Bay is approximately a two-minute walk away via the scenic boardwalk. Guests have access to 600 feet of shared sandy beach, while a nearby public beach offers grills, shaded picnic areas, and additional space beside the water.
Seasonal kayak, stand-up paddleboard, and boat rentals are also available nearby.

The renovated kitchenette is equipped for breakfast, light meals, and relaxed evenings at home.
A Note on the Pool
Pool access at The Shores is not included with the reservation.
Guests who book a spa treatment at Grand Traverse Resort receive same-day pool access. The concierge team can assist with spa reservations if pool access is important to your stay.
Most guests choose to spend their time at the nearby beach, but we want the pool policy to be clear before arrival.
