The Halloween Walk celebrates the entire community of Traverse City and provides a safe and exciting place for young children to trick-or-treat. The downtown neighborhood shuts down to vehicle traffic during the event, allowing everyone on foot the ability to explore the neighborhood freely. Local vendors will be participating in the event by handing out candy to the costumed children walking around. You can get started by stopping by the Women’s Resource Thrift Shop before the day of the event to pick up a reusable trick-or-treat bag. Businesses that are found on the 100, 200, and 300 blocks by Front Street will participate in Halloween Walk. After the fun is over, make sure you walk around downtown and shop these local businesses that support the event too. You can enjoy Halloween Walk over in downtown Traverse City this year on October 26th during the hours of 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The event is completely free to enjoy!

You can also find a variety of trick-or-treating events over in neighboring towns that are quick and easy to get to. One such community that hosts trick-or-treating for the town is The Village of Kingsley. They are just down the road from Traverse City and sponsor trick-or-treating times from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
