Traverse City does a great job at making sure little ones have a safe and fruitful trick-or-treating experience here in Downtown Traverse City. Stop by Downtown Traverse City on October 28th from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM for the Halloween Walk. Participating stores in the Downtown District will offer your costumed children candy as they get to have a safe trick or treat experience during the morning hours. You will find participating businesses located on the 100, 200, and 300 blocks here in Downtown Traverse City. Expect a family friendly atmosphere perfect for all ages.
15th Annual Zombie Run
Another popular event that continues to thrive here in Traverse City each Halloween is the annual Zombie Run put on by Right Brain Brewery. 2023 will be the 15th annual anniversary of the event so expect even more fun than usual. The Zombie Run is an exciting 5K walk or run that starts at the brewery. Registration in advance is required for all participants with all proceeds being donated to TART Trails here in the area. Register before October 26th to save on your registration fees. After the run you can enjoy the medal ceremony, live music, costume prizes, and of course, post-race beers. What a ghoulish time!
Tour the Village at Grand Traverse Commons
One of the best-known attractions in Traverse City is the Village at Grand Traverse Commons. This location was initially a state hospital and asylum. Each Halloween The Village offers their Asylum Flashlight Tour where you get to explore the hospital’s basement and attic to glimpse into its spooky past.
